You need a Bachelor’s degree in the Life Sciences to enter the 4 year MD degree program, with credits in General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Biology and the Humanities.
We offer two Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree programs, the 4-year MD degree and the 5-year MD degree programs and a Bachelor of Science in Public Health (BSc.).
You can enroll in our 5-year MD degree program. To be eligible for admission you must have high school credits in English, Mathematics (Calculus or Advanced Functions), Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

No. MCAT score is not a requirement for admission at this time. However, it may enhance consideration for admission and or scholarship.
Transfer Students may only be accepted upon evaluation by the admissions committee of all candidates’ applications and a determination of their eligibility for placement into the program.
Richmond Gabriel University's College of Medicine, St Vincent and the Grenadines will only accept transferred course credits from Accredited Medical Schools that are listed on the World Directory of Medical Schools (www. wdoms.org). Medicine related courses completed outside of a Medical degree program at a College or University cannot be substituted for Medical School credits. Students transferring into the clerkship program MUST complete all clinical rotations at Richmond Gabriel University St. Vincent as part of their graduation requirement before they are issued their Medical Diploma. Transfer students must complete at least 2 years of their education with RGU.
NOTICE FOR TRANSFER STUDENTS:
- Any student who transfers into the program must satisfy the graduation criteria of Richmond Gabriel University.
- Transfer students are expected to complete their medical degree within the maximum 6-year period regardless of where they would have started their program. The maximum 6-year period is for the total time spent in medical education.

NOTICE FOR CLINICAL TRANSFER STUDENTS:
In addition to the above the following is required:
- To transfer into the Clinical Clerkship phase transfer students will be required to have an NBME CBSE score of 200.
- Students who do not have a NBME score meeting the minimum above but which to transfer to RGU SVG will be required to write the NBME CBSE with RGU SVG before they are permitted to start rotations.
- Exceptions will be considered only for those students who have completed a higher qualifying examination/licensing examination, for example: USMLE Step 1 will be accepted in place of the CBSE NBME and USMLE Step 2 will be accepted in place of CCSE NBME.

Yes, Richmond Gabriel University's MD degree programs are recognized by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education, St. Vincent and the Grenadines. The University is also listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools and in the International Medical Education Directory (IMED). Our graduates are thus eligible to apply for practicing license in the United States, Canada, the U.K. and other countries that recognize the WHO.
Yes we do, depending on your scholastic performance prior to medical school, letters of recommendation, and your personal statement you may be eligible for a scholarship up to 50% of your tuition fee.

Federal student loans are not available. However, students who are experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to speak with their financial institutions and banks to apply for a student line of credit.
