Re: Establishment of the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) and Appointment of newly appointed Dean, Dr. Zahangir Boksh
Dear Members of the RGU Community,
As we continue to make progress in the rebranding and restructuring of Richmond Gabriel University, housing the current and upcoming undergraduate programs under an appropriate umbrella is the next logical step. As such, I am pleased to inform you of the establishment of the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS) at Richmond Gabriel University. This division of the University will take full effect from September 2022.
I am also pleased to inform you that the Governing Board has approved the appointment and promotion of Dr. Zahangir Boksh to the position of Dean of the College of Allied Health Sciences. Dr. Boksh is an experienced faculty at the institution, having served in the capacity as Course Director for Histology and Cell Biology and General Pathology, Chair of the Pathology Department, Chair of the Basic Science Curriculum Committee, Co-Chair of the Assessment Committee and has been an active member on several Standing Committees in the College of Medicine. Dr. Boksh has been a pillar of support to the institution and remains dedicated to student success, educational and institutional growth, and progress at RGU.
We are confident that Dr. Boksh will rise to the challenges of this new role and be instrumental in ensuring the success and growth of the College of Allied Health Sciences (CAHS). As Dr. Boksh begins this new chapter, please join me in extending our full support and heartfelt congratulations to him on his promotion and appointment.
